1. Introduction
Family First Exteriors (“Family First Exteriors,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

- Financing information: submitted by you directly to our third-party financing partners. We receive approval status and amount, not your full credit application or credit report.
- Employment information: resume, work history, and licensing or certification details if you apply for a position
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you visit our website, we and our service providers automatically collect:
- IP address and approximate location derived from it (city/region level)
- Browser type, operating system, and device type
- Pages viewed, time on page, referring URL, and exit pages
- Search terms and ad clicks that brought you to our site
- Cookie and advertising identifiers
- Dates and times of visits
2.3 Information From Third Parties
We may receive information about you from:

- Advertising and analytics platforms, including Google and Meta, in aggregate or pseudonymous form
- Call tracking and routing providers
- Aerial measurement and property data providers used to measure and estimate your roof
- Your insurance carrier or its adjuster, where you have authorized contact
- Publicly available sources, such as county property records
- Referring customers, when a friend or neighbor refers you to us
Important: If you submitted your information to a lead marketplace such as Angi, that platform — not Family First Exteriors — controls how your information was originally collected and who else it was sent to. Please review that platform’s own privacy policy and consent terms.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your inquiry and schedule an inspection or estimate
- Prepare, deliver, and revise estimates and proposals
- Perform, supervise, and warranty the work you contract us to do
- Order materials and coordinate crews, dumpsters, and suppliers
- Communicate with you about your project — including scheduling, crew arrival, weather delays, permits, inspections, and completion

- Document work performed, including before-and-after photographs
- Support your insurance claim documentation at your direction (see Section 10)
- Provide customer service and respond to warranty requests
- Request reviews and feedback
- Send marketing and promotional communications where you have consented (see Sections 6, 7, and 9)
- Measure and improve the performance of our advertising and website
- Detect fraud, protect our property and personnel, and enforce our contracts
- Comply with law, including permitting, licensing, tax, and record-retention requirements
4. Legal Basis and Consent
We collect and use your information based on:
- Your request — you contacted us and asked us to respond
- Contract performance — we need the information to do the work you hired us for
- Your consent — for marketing calls, texts, and emails
- Legitimate business interests — security, fraud prevention, service improvement, and analytics
- Legal obligation — permits, tax, warranty, and litigation-hold requirements
5. Telephone Calls and Call Recording
5.1 Call Tracking
We use call tracking numbers on our website, advertisements, and business listings. When you call one of these numbers, our provider records the phone number you called from, the number you dialed, the date, time, and duration of the call, and the marketing source that led you to that number. Your call is connected to us normally.
5.2 Call Recording
Some or all calls to and from Family First Exteriors may be monitored or recorded for quality assurance, training, scheduling accuracy, and record-keeping purposes.
Where a recording notice is played at the start of the call, continuing the call constitutes your consent to be recorded. If you do not wish to be recorded, please tell us at the start of the call, hang up and contact us by email at [email protected], or request that we call you back on an unrecorded line.
Recordings and transcripts are stored by our call platform provider, are accessible only to authorized personnel, and are retained as described in Section 12.
5.3 Automated and Missed-Call Response
If you call us and we are unable to answer, we may send an automated text message to the mobile number you called from so we can respond to your inquiry. This is a service response to your inbound contact, not a marketing message. You may reply STOP at any time.
6. Text Messaging (SMS/MMS)
This section describes our text messaging program. Please also see the SMS Terms in our Terms and Conditions.
6.1 Two Separate Categories of Messages
We send two distinct types of text messages, and we treat consent for each separately:
(a) Transactional and Informational Messages. These relate to a project, request, or account you already have with us. Examples include:
- Confirming or rescheduling an inspection or installation date
- Crew arrival windows and delay notifications
- Weather-related schedule changes
- Notifying you that an estimate, proposal, or invoice is ready
- Permit and municipal inspection updates
- Payment reminders and receipts
- Warranty and service follow-up
- Responses to a call, form, or text you initiated
(b) Marketing and Promotional Messages. These promote our services and are not tied to a specific active project. Examples include:
- Seasonal maintenance and inspection offers
- Storm-response and post-storm inspection outreach
- Promotions, discounts, and financing offers
- Newsletters and company announcements
6.2 How We Obtain Your Consent
We send text messages only where you have given us prior express consent, and for marketing messages, prior express written consent. We obtain consent when you:
- Check the SMS consent box on a form on our website, landing page, or paper document, or provide a signature on a document containing SMS consent language
- Text us first, or reply to a text from us
- Verbally consent during a call, appointment, or inspection, which we log in our records
- Provide your mobile number on a signed proposal or contract that contains SMS consent language
Consent to receive marketing text messages is never a condition of purchasing any goods or services from us. You may do business with Family First Exteriors without agreeing to receive marketing texts.
Our SMS consent checkboxes are not pre-checked, are not required to submit a form, and are presented separately from other consents. Where both message categories are offered, we present them as separate choices.
6.3 Message Frequency and Cost
Message frequency varies based on your project and your preferences. Transactional messages are sent as needed during an active project. Marketing message frequency is described at the point of opt-in and generally does not exceed 4 messages per month.
Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier’s standard messaging and data charges apply to messages you send and receive. Family First Exteriors does not charge for text messages.
6.4 How to Opt Out
Reply STOP to any text message to stop receiving texts from that program. You may also reply END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, or QUIT. We will send one final confirmation message and will not send further messages from that program.
You may also revoke consent in any reasonable manner that clearly expresses your intent to stop receiving messages, including by telling a member of our team by phone, replying to a message with a plain-language request to stop, or emailing [email protected].
Reply HELP to any message, or contact us at (314) 255-8151 or [email protected], for assistance.
If you opt out of marketing texts, we may still send you transactional messages about an active project unless you tell us to stop those as well. If you opt out of all texts, we will contact you by phone or email instead.
If you change your mobile number or transfer it to a new person, please notify us so we can update our records.
6.5 Carrier Disclaimer
Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is not guaranteed and may be affected by carrier filtering, network conditions, or device settings.
6.6 How We Handle Mobile Data — Important
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
All of the categories of information sharing described elsewhere in this Privacy Policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent. This information will not be shared with any third parties.
We may share your mobile number only with vendors who act on our behalf under written confidentiality obligations and solely to operate our messaging program, provide customer service, or deliver the services you requested — for example, our messaging platform, CRM, and call handling providers. These vendors are not permitted to use your mobile number for their own marketing or to sell or transfer it to anyone else.
We do not upload mobile telephone numbers collected through our text messaging program to advertising platforms, and we do not use them to build advertising audiences. See Section 9.
7. Email Communications
7.1 Transactional Email
We send transactional and service emails relating to your inquiry, estimate, project, warranty, or account. These include estimate delivery, scheduling confirmations, invoices and receipts, permit updates, completion documentation, and warranty registration. Because these emails are necessary to deliver the services you requested, they are not marketing messages and are not subject to marketing opt-out — though you may ask us to communicate with you by phone or mail instead.
7.2 Marketing Email
We send marketing emails — seasonal offers, maintenance reminders, storm response notices, newsletters, and promotions — where you have provided your email address in connection with an inquiry or transaction, or have otherwise opted in.
Every marketing email includes a working unsubscribe link and our physical mailing address, as required by the CAN-SPAM Act. Unsubscribe requests are honored within ten (10) business days, and generally much sooner. You may also unsubscribe by emailing [email protected].
We do not use deceptive subject lines or false header information, and we do not sell or transfer our email list to third parties for their own marketing.
8. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We and our service providers use cookies, pixels, tags, SDKs, and similar technologies on our website.
Categories we use:
| Category | Purpose | Examples |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Site function, form submission, security | Session cookies, spam prevention |
| Performance and analytics | Understand how visitors use the site | Google Analytics |
| Advertising and conversion | Measure ad performance and show relevant ads | Google Ads tags, Meta Pixel, remarketing tags |
| Call attribution | Match phone calls to marketing sources | Call tracking scripts |
Your choices. You can control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting them. Blocking cookies may prevent parts of our website from working correctly. You may also opt out of interest-based advertising as described in Section 9.
Global Privacy Control. Where we detect a Global Privacy Control (GPC) or similar opt-out preference signal from your browser, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sharing of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising on that browser.
9. Advertising, Remarketing, and Audience Matching
This section explains exactly what we do with your information for advertising purposes. Please read it.
9.1 What We Do
We advertise our services on Google, Meta (Facebook and Instagram), and other platforms. In connection with that advertising, we may:
- Measure conversions. Report to advertising platforms that a form submission, phone call, or completed sale occurred, so we can tell which ads work. This may involve sending the platform a hashed (irreversibly scrambled) version of your email address or other identifier so it can match the conversion to an ad click.
- Show you remarketing ads. Show our ads to people who have previously visited our website, using cookies and advertising identifiers.
- Create matched customer audiences. Upload a hashed list of customer email addresses to an advertising platform so we can show ads to — or exclude from ads — our existing customers.
- Create “lookalike” or “similar” audiences. Provide an advertising platform with a hashed customer list, which the platform uses to identify other people who share general characteristics with our customers, so we can advertise to them. The platform does not disclose our customer list to anyone, and we do not receive any personal information about the people in the resulting audience. We receive no individual data back from this process — only an audience segment we can advertise to.
Where we upload information for these purposes, it is hashed before transmission, meaning the advertising platform receives a scrambled string rather than your plain email address.
9.2 What We Do Not Do
- We do not sell your personal information for money. We have never sold and do not sell customer lists, contact information, or lead data to data brokers, list brokers, other contractors, or any other party.
- We do not rent, trade, or transfer your information to third parties for their own independent marketing.
- We do not upload mobile telephone numbers or SMS opt-in data to advertising platforms. Our advertising audiences are built from email addresses and website activity only.
- We do not share your insurance claim information, claim documents, or financial information with advertising platforms.
9.3 A Note on the Word “Sale”
Some state privacy laws define “sale” and “share” broadly enough to include disclosing identifiers to advertising platforms for targeted advertising, even when no money changes hands. We do not consider the activity in Section 9.1 to be a sale in the ordinary sense, and no money is received. We describe it here in plain language so you can decide for yourself and opt out if you prefer.
9.4 How to Opt Out of Advertising Uses
You may:
- Email [email protected] and ask us to remove you from advertising audiences and exclude you from future uploads. We will honor this within 30 days.
- Enable Global Privacy Control in a supporting browser
- Adjust your ad settings directly at myadcenter.google.com (Google) and in Settings → Accounts Center → Ad preferences (Meta)
- Use the industry opt-out tools at optout.aboutads.info (DAA) and optout.networkadvertising.org (NAI)
- Use your device’s advertising controls, such as “Limit Ad Tracking” or resetting your advertising identifier
Opting out of interest-based advertising does not stop you from seeing our ads — it means the ads you see are less likely to be based on your prior activity.
10. Insurance Claim Information
If your project involves a property insurance claim, we may collect and use claim-related information — carrier name, claim number, adjuster contact details, scope of loss, and damage photographs — for the limited purpose of documenting the condition of your property, preparing an accurate estimate of the work, and providing you and your carrier with documentation of the work we performed.
We share this information with your insurance carrier or adjuster only at your direction or with your authorization.
Important limitation on our role. Family First Exteriors is a contractor, not a public adjuster or insurance representative. We do not represent you, negotiate on your behalf, or act as your agent on any insurance claim. We provide documentation of damage and of the work required; all communication, negotiation, and decision-making on your claim is between you and your insurer. See our Terms and Conditions for further detail.
We retain claim documentation as part of your project file (see Section 12) because it may be needed for warranty, supplement, or dispute purposes.
11. How We Share Information
We share your information only in the circumstances described below.
Service providers and vendors. Companies that perform services for us under contract and are permitted to use your information only to perform those services. These include our CRM and project management platform, call tracking and phone system provider, text messaging platform, email marketing platform, website host, form and scheduling tools, payment processor, accounting software, aerial measurement provider, and document signing service.
Subcontractors and crews. Installation crews, tear-off and haul-away services, dumpster providers, and specialty trades receive your name, property address, phone number, and job scope so they can perform the work.
Material suppliers and manufacturers. Suppliers receive delivery address and job details. Manufacturers receive information necessary to register and honor product warranties.
Financing partners. If you apply for financing, your application goes directly to the lender. We receive approval status, approved amount, and funding confirmation.
Insurance carriers and adjusters. At your direction, as described in Section 10.
Advertising platforms. As described in Section 9, and never including mobile numbers or SMS opt-in data.
Professional advisors. Our attorneys, accountants, and insurers, as needed.
Legal and safety. Where required by law, subpoena, court order, or government request; to enforce our contracts and collect amounts owed; to establish or defend legal claims; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of any person.
Business transfer. If Family First Exteriors is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, customer information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will require the recipient to honor this Privacy Policy or provide notice of any material change.
With your consent. Any other sharing you specifically authorize.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not disclose your mobile number or SMS consent data to any third party for that party’s own marketing.
12. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, and thereafter as required by law or reasonably necessary to protect our legal position. Typical periods:
| Information | Retention |
|---|---|
| Inquiries and leads that did not convert | 3 years |
| Completed project files, contracts, and photos | Duration of the workmanship warranty plus 10 years, matching the Missouri statute of repose for improvements to real property, and longer where a workmanship or manufacturer warranty remains in effect |
| Insurance claim documentation | With the project file |
| Financial and tax records | As required by law, generally 7 years |
| SMS consent and opt-out records | At least 5 years after the consent or opt-out, to demonstrate compliance |
| Call recordings and transcripts | 12 months |
| Website analytics and advertising data | Per the retention settings of the relevant platform |
| Employment applications | 1 year |
Opt-out records are retained on a suppression list indefinitely so that we do not contact you again in error.
13. Security
We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including access controls limiting information to personnel who need it, encrypted transmission of data submitted through our website, use of reputable vendors with their own security programs, and third-party processing of payment card data.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we become aware of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law, including the Missouri data breach notification statute.
14. Your Choices and Rights
Regardless of where you live, you may:
- Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Correct — ask us to fix inaccurate information
- Delete — ask us to delete your information, subject to records we must retain for legal, warranty, tax, or dispute purposes
- Opt out of marketing — by replying STOP to texts, clicking unsubscribe in emails, or contacting us directly
- Opt out of advertising audiences — as described in Section 9.4
- Opt out of call recording — as described in Section 5.2
To exercise any of these, contact [email protected] or (314) 255-8151. We will respond within 45 days and may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws. Missouri has not enacted a comprehensive consumer privacy law. If you reside in a state that has one — such as California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, or Illinois for biometric data — you may have additional statutory rights, including the right to opt out of targeted advertising and the sale or sharing of personal information, and the right to appeal a denied request. We extend the rights described above to all customers regardless of residence. To submit a request or appeal a decision, contact [email protected].
15. Children’s Privacy
Our website and services are directed to adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact [email protected] and we will delete it.
16. Third-Party Websites and Platforms
Our website links to third-party sites, including manufacturer sites, financing partners, review platforms, and social media. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their privacy practices. Review their policies before providing information.
Similarly, if you found us through a lead marketplace, review platform, or search engine, that platform’s own privacy policy governs the information you provided to it.
17. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. The “Last Updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be posted prominently on our website. Continued use of our website or services after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
